Volunteer with Girls On The Run

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and bring with them commitment, motivation and passion to make a difference in the lives of our young girls. We have many different opportunities available, so whether you wish to lend a hand for an hour or give your time throughout the season, we have opportunities for you!

Coaching a Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole team is one of the most rewarding ways to get involved with Girls on the Run Birmingham. Volunteer Coaches serve as role models and mentors for the girls in our program.

At each program site, 2-4 coaches deliver the Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole curriculum, twice a week for about and hour and 30 minutes to groups of 8 to 15 girls. Coaches are not required to be runners—they simply must be passionate about the mission of Girls on the Run, committed to working with a group of girls throughout the season and able to bring energy and joy to each practice.
